Teff Grass does best in well-drained, balanced fertility soils.

Description

Teff Grass is a summer annual forage for livestock and commercial hay producers who often need a fast growing, high yielding crop with good-to-high forage quality.

Management

Use 60 lbs N/acre at planting. First harvest is usually around 40 days, with harvest regrowth every 30-35 days after.

Establishment

Seed 8-10 lbs/acre alone, 6-8 lbs/acre in a mix. It should be seeded at 1/8" into a very firm, moist seed bed. Teff Grass does best in well-drained, balanced fertility soils.
